Diamond Facts

The beauty of a diamond comes from a combination of fire (rainbow flash from within) and brilliance (burst of sparkling light). Both are a direct result of the cut.

Diamonds are graded according to carat weight, clarity, color and cut.

A diamond's setting affects the color. A white gold or platinum setting will enhance the whiteness of a colorless stone. A stone  with a yellowish tint treated with the yellow gold to mask it, making the stone appear whiter.

Diamonds are cut to maximize radiace of light within the stone.

Different people have different preferences for styles and shapes. The main point to remember when shopping for diamonds is choosing a stone that looks beautiful to you.

Although diamonds are hard, they are not strong. If you hit one with a hammer it will shatter.

Diamonds are doubtlessly so beautiful but they can turn to graphite if they are saved for an extremely long period of time.
