Hallmark is the assurance of the purity of product recognized by the Government of India.


Hallmarking certifies that the jewelry conforms to National/International Standards of Purity.


In India, the BIS, i.e., Bureau of Indian Standards undertakes certification of purity of gold jewelry in accordance with Indian Standards IS:1417 Grades of Gold & Gold Alloys. 


All our Gold jewelry are BIS Hallmark Certified.




What does Hallmark consists of?



Hallmark consists of the 5 components specified below.


1.BIS Mark


2.Fineness Number (corresponding to caratage)


3.Assaying and Hallmarking Center's Mark


4.Jeweller's Mark


5.Year of marking denoted by a code letter and decided by BIS 


(e.g. code letter 'A' was approved by BIS for year 2000, 'B' being used for the year 2001 and 'C' for 2002).
